More than acceptable, just what I was thinking as well.

[He doesn't distrust Viren, not really, even after the notable reaction. It'll be fine, he's sure of it and Theseus honestly feels better having someone with him on this. Even if he's unable to use magic, he's not helpless-- evident by the claws on him.]
