[ It was getting late in the evening, but it was crucial to meet up. Daenerys – with the help of some more technologically savvy people – offered invitations to anyone who seemed interested in the affair with Dorchacht.

They meet at the Sly Seadog: a run-down little dive of a tavern, found along a narrow back-alley in the harbour, frequented by sailors, welcoming to Monsters and humans alike. The crowd is dense for this early in the "night", but still a few drunkards pawning off their last bit of money for a little bit more booze.

It was not up to a standard she would prefer, but it's something and it's relatively quiet. Three long tables can fit enough people for their meeting – and there's some standing room at the bar. Time to get down to business, right?

[Her eyes narrow slightly, but any tension leaves her at the comment about curiosity. This woman's air is more noble than the people she typically associates with, and it takes her a moment to get her thoughts in order.]

...So, the short of it is that I've been traveling from one world to another, like how we came to be here, since I was about eight years old. [ When someone opens up with "traveling from world to world", you stop and listen. You keep your disbelief in check. Her pale features stay stern, only a twitch of her brow every so often at the woman's words. Daenerys has a way that commands the room merely because others find themselves in awe of her – her name, her dragons, her history... Here, they speak to her plainly and she is able to connect bits and pieces of their intention throughout.

She speaks reluctantly about her magic – about her essence and it draws a soft sigh past her lips. ]

I... see. Do the Witches in this other Coven unnerve you, then? I'd like to hear your thoughts on the people we may be seated across from during this... meeting.

[Westeros, and even a woman as remarkable as Daenerys, is truly nothing out of the ordinary for Chandra. She doesn't associate with the nobility often, and her concept of them is skewed even further by her home world's abolishment of monarchies centuries before. But commanding women, even women with dragon companions? Those are an almost day to day occurrence for a Planeswalker, and that is almost comforting. It's through that lens that she looks at this whole world: Just another weird plane with weird rules.

There's a faint quirk on Chandra's lip at the question.]

Unnerve? No. They don't unnerve me. They make me angry. I've sworn an oath to take on tyranny on any world I find myself on, and Dorchacht's Coven qualifies as tyrannical as surely as any I've ever seen.

I'd just as soon burn them all and leave them to rot, but I understand Aefenglom's desire to avoid a war, too. Given how dire the cywld situation is, allocating resources to a war might be beyond their ability.

[ Dany wishes to gain council, advice from those who have been here longer or have further experience in such things. Her magic, the one that prevented her from turning to ash as she laid in Khal Drogo's funeral pyre? It was nothing special here. Not at all. ]

An admirable view, if I may say. However... not many would agree. [ +1 for Dany on burning them all, but... it takes her a little bit to realize they have a choice. Jorah had ensured there needed to be reason to forgive and allow the path to the future to have less blood and fire than their past. ] War is not our endgoal. It should not be theirs as well. They've lived comfortably in their city with their ways, they invite us and believe they to have the advantage. We are putting ourselves at risk, but I would like to hope we are not walking into a slaughter.

That would be why people like myself need to go along with the diplomats. To defend against a potential attack. Or potentially taking hostages.

[Now, Chandra realizes that she doesn't have access to her full power, she isn't so foolish as that.]

By making ourselves a less tempting target, we're more likely to dissuade such an attempt. Even if there is no way we'll win, having some sorts of bodyguards hidden among the envoys will be more likely to prevent that.

Like a thorn on a plant. Yes...you can take the fruit, but is it worth it if you'll get scratched badly?
