[open] pre-gaming, the dignitary variety
Who: Anyone invested in the Dorchacht Dilemma or planning to visit Dorchacht through the event.
When: Septeril 1st, late evening
Where: The Sly Seadog
What: Planning
Warnings: Who the eff knows
[ It was getting late in the evening, but it was crucial to meet up. Daenerys – with the help of some more technologically savvy people – offered invitations to anyone who seemed interested in the affair with Dorchacht.
They meet at the Sly Seadog: a run-down little dive of a tavern, found along a narrow back-alley in the harbour, frequented by sailors, welcoming to Monsters and humans alike. The crowd is dense for this early in the "night", but still a few drunkards pawning off their last bit of money for a little bit more booze.
It was not up to a standard she would prefer, but it's something and it's relatively quiet. Three long tables can fit enough people for their meeting – and there's some standing room at the bar. Time to get down to business, right?
Feel free to top level, make points, argue, etc. ]

disappointed in myself for not making that a proper "excuuuuse me princess" joke tbh...
The first and most important thing a resistance is the will to fight. That, we can't really help with - we may be able to convince the odd person to stop sitting the fence, but if the spark isn't there already, outsiders aren't going to have much luck lighting it.
[ Thankfully, the fact that there is already a resistance going means there's at least a solid base of people willing to fight. ]
Expertise comes second. I imagine we have people with enough experience in this sort of thing that we might be able to offer something there, even if our knowledge of this world specifically is...spotty.
Supplies, weapons, and the like are lower priority because if you have the first two, you can make the chances to seize the material goods anyway.
[ Wow, listen to this cop talking about how to overthrow a government. ]

then again here's a princess talking about the same thing so]
Perhaps after all this is said and done, we can advocate for some basic history and geography lessons for the mirrorbound with regards to this world. I do not imagine the Coven nor the Parliament are keen on the thought of us blindly stumbling into another diplomatic incident as we have here.
[The frequency of the dreams suggests this is going to happen again in all likelihood, and boy howdy, her heart cannot take teetering on the edge of war like this again. Zelda sighs, and shakes her head as though to clear it of the thoughts that aren't immediately pertinent to focus on the topic at hand.]
In any case, it seems as though there are quite a few of our number ready to offer their service, even if they lack the exact expertise you describe. Provided the resistance accepts our aid, I imagine they shall see quite the surge in manpower, however temporary.
[A pause. Material goods, huh...?]
I wonder... It is said that "magic always comes at a price." What, then, is fueling the grand enchantment woven into the city, and is it something that could be seized, as you say...? [A rhetorical question, really; she knows Lloyd doesn't have the answer any more than she does. But if we're talking about slim chances to turn the situation in Dorchacht around...]

Without that enchantment, I'd bet that the monster population would be a lot less complacent and willing to accept the order of things.
[ Nuke it from orbit. It's the only way to be sure. ]

[Zelda sighs, however, tapping her finger idly on her table as she thinks.]
... But such a thing is likely either extremely well hidden, or extremely well guarded, if not both. What little we know of this Morgana does not make her out to be the type that would flaunt the source of her power for all to see.
Still. It may be worth looking into, if the opportunity arises.

It's something to look for, at least. I think it's hard to say what the best use of our energies will be until we get there. I'm not sure what we should expect from their security and how much leeway we'll have to explore the city proper.
