Asra Alnazar | The Arcana | Witch

[Asra is somewhat sceptical about the initial offer of housing, but once the terms become clearer he starts to relax further; it does make sense for the new arrivals to be moved somewhere with more space available, and it would be a lot to ask that they immediately be able to pay for the location, although he suspects that eventually the housing may not be as free as it is now. It's hard to imagine any city that would give away housing to a group of refugees and expect nothing in return, as much as he might like it to be true.

But for now he's content enough to wander and take note of the area, who seems to be ending up in which building, who are quick to share with each other, who seems happy with their choices and who isn't. And who of the native people here seem happy to deal with them and who isn't.

From outside the observation largely takes the form of the magician wandering aimlessly around the area, Faust curled loosely about his shoulders sunning herself. He stops a few times to take a look at the stalls and tables that have sprung up as well, and when he spots someone else interested as well, he turns a smile on them.]

Some of these plants look rather unusual, don't they?

[The offer of free sweets immediately gets his attention, and Asra savours the small chocolate hearts that melt on his tongue and leave a lingering taste of roses, idly thinking that Nadi would rather like them, but that thought is rather bittersweet, a reminder of everything else happening in Vesuvia.

It brings with it a sense of lonliness as well, and instinctively he looks for a distraction and his gaze lights on a nearby figure. Immediately Asra finds his feet seeming to carry him towards them and he leans in a little, almost like he's craving to reach out and touch a hand or shoulder but stopping himself from crossing that line.]

Oh... Ah. Have you tried the bread here yet? I'm wondering if it's any good.

[Yes a totally normal conversation starter.]
