( the sound of a voice is at least comforting--especially a female voice, but the fact that the yell has something to do with heat makes her jump back a step, startled. fire, maybe? she only has enough time to get a glance at the sudden shot of hot air that goes past her, making her skirt flare up with the movement; the insect gets caught right in the line of it, and the way its legs curl and roll up towards its body must mean it's been defeated. right?
curious, she stands there for a moment, marveling, before she inches closer to the bug, nudging at it gently with the toe of her boot. no movement, so it must be dead, or at the very least, too injured to summon any sort of resistance.
immediately her head lifts, looking for the source of the hot air: it's the girl she saw, weeks ago, and her smile lights up, immediately dashing to close the distance between them. )
