[ Deep in the recesses of the Wilde, a small band of heroes ventures forth in pursuit of an "Elemental" recking havoc in the deep wilder land. After being guided this deep into the woods, the Witch and the Puca depart from the three friends, leaving them to bide their time and finish the job. It's by Shiro's suggestion they set up a small, temporary camp - a little smoke would give them a place to gather to in the event they're separated.

A month and a half of change sees Shiro looking less like himself than ever - the upcoming full moon has pulled at his ears enough, shaping them oddly, but the timing is good. He stands quiet at the camp, listening for things that approach diligently. Short hairs travel up from the tip of his notes to the edge of his scalp. His yellow eyes pierce the dark regions of the forest.

After being alert for so long, Shiro sighs lightly at last. The sky is warm with orange and reds. ] You'd think something that can move this much earth would give itself away a lot quicker. We probably can't stay out here much longer.

[ Allura prods the fire idly with a stick--mostly to keep her hands busy, but she's listening as well. This place may have removed many of her inherent Altean abilities, but her hearing is still top notch if by the very build of her ears alone. But she's not nearly as used to the sounds of these wildes as she should be, having regulated herself to staying mostly in town and keeping to her studies. (If they are going to leave this place, she figures that's where she is most useful.) ]

I do wish we would have had more time to prepare before.

[ She drops the stick and moves to stand as well. ]

But it is possible that this elemental is active at different times of the day. Or that this area has already been altered enough to its liking...assuming this is a sentient lifeform.
