[One incredibly useful thing about being a cat is that one can climb trees with far more ease than most larger creatures without needing to expend magic to do so. Mogget is not one to be helpful, ordinarily, but making a little money doesn't hurt (he is, after all, living somewhere permanently now and may be expected to put forth some kind of payment at some point), so he makes his way up the trees to knock down and collect feathers into a small canvas bag he has propped up against a nearby stump.

The fact he is able to harass the birds as he does this is only a bonus, though no one will see him actually cause harm to one.

Anyone might be forgiven for thinking that the bag has simply been abandoned there, or that the cat which has found its way so high into the tree is either stuck or aggressively hunting the birds living up there. The way he chases them about when they come too close to him could be mistaken as an indicator of such... but he has to find his fun somewhere.]

[Cats don't garden, and Mogget is no different in this regard. He doesn't come here to be helpful in any respect, but he does fall asleep in convenient sun spots and occasionally bat unmonitored packets of seeds around on the tables.

What Mogget is good at, if unintentionally, is keeping the birds away from the new seeds being put into the seedling trays. While he's there, not even the crows - easily almost his size - seem to dare come down to peck at them. It's up to anyone attempting to help the nursery out to decide if this kind of help is worth having the cat around.

Or maybe they just want to pet him?]

[There is a stranger in the Coven. A small, slender stranger standing at under five and a half feet tall, with white hair and marble-pale skin. He's been sitting in the library for three hours now, turning the pages of a large book in front of him with slow, careful movements of delicate fingers. If someone watches him closely they might see that the way he does this has a strangeness about it, and that he always ends up lightly picking at the edge of a page before he gains enough purchase on it to turn it.

Now and then he looks up, and it is the eyes that are the most surprising thing about him. The irises spread far further into the whites than they ought to, and the pupils are slitted like a cat's. They are a bright, vibrant green. Around his neck a loose red ribbon holds a small silver bell and a green pendant that occasionally appear as he pulls on the ribbon as if playing with it.

He stays there for a while, long enough to be approached and spoken to, but late into the evening he gets up and picks up the book, disappearing behind a high shelf. The young man doesn't emerge again, but instead a small white cat saunters out and begins to trot towards the exit, the bell on its collar softly jingling as it goes.]

[ Tsutha spends most of her time at the Coven these days. After spending most of Feoveuer traveling, thereby missing all the chaos that went down in Aefenglom, she feels guilty, like she could have helped if only she had been there.

So, she pushes herself into her studies. She's doing exceedingly well in all her classes-- verbal and practical instruction has never been a problem for her. The difficulty lies in the studying she does outside of lessons. She's still only reading at the most basic of levels, and needs to sound out each word as she reads it, slowly and carefully, in order to glean its meaning.

It's a habit that's probably annoying to everyone else studying in the library near her. ]

[Mogget doesn't go looking for people deliberately that often, but when he does he does so with a purpose. The little cat trots quickly along the tops of walls and across gutters to find his quarry, eventually coming across Roxas not long after he leaves Sora's house.

He drops down into the street in front of the boy and sits there, his tail lashing lazily from side to side. While he would never actually outwardly admit a fondness for this particular person, there is a reason he is the first person that Mogget has come to regarding what he's about to talk about.]

I'm walking with you. Come on.

[Tap tap.

There's a light knock on Momo's door, some time in the mid-afternoon. On the step is a pale, slight young man standing at around 5'5", with white hair to his shoulders. The only colour in his clothing is a red ribbon slung loosely around his neck, holding a small silver bell and a green tear-drop shaped pendant. He toys with this as he waits for an answer, the bell letting out a silvery chime as he does so.

The moment the door opens he looks up, alighting large, vibrantly green eyes on the person on the other side of it. He doesn't quite smile, but an immediate curiosity brightens his gaze as his cat-like pupils dilate slightly.]

Good afternoon, Momo. [He says smoothly. Momo might just find he feels he recognises the voice, though it sounds different without the usual feline sounds threaded through it.] Do you have time to talk?

[Roxas has been doing his best to recover after his kidnapping, including finding the courage to walk to Sora's house or go on errands. It's hard, but he doesn't want to live in fear forever, hence his occasional visits to his Bondmate's house.]

[Of course, he doesn't expect to see Mogget appear so suddenly. He jumps in surprise, but he perks up.]

Mogget? What are you doing here?

[Not that he's disappointed to see the cat. In fact, he's actually quite delighted!]

[Mogget slows mid-step and looks back over his shoulder, having already turned in the direction of Roxas' home. The tip of his tail flicks.]

I was looking for you.

[And here he is, so... let's go and don't make a big deal out of it. The cat takes another step, still looking back and waiting for the boy to follow.]

I have something to show you.

You were?

[Roxas will follow Mogget without much further urging, but he does tilt his head in curiosity.]

What do you have to show me?

Something I've been working on.

[He keeps things vague, as Mogget is wont to do. After he's sure Roxas is following, he slows down to walk by his side instead of out in front of him.]

But I thought you might appreciate it. When we get indoors, I'll show you.

Sounds important. But alright. I can wait.

[Roxas is curious, but he's willing to wait until they get inside. He slows his steps enough so that the cat can keep up without having to run too much.]

Do you want to come over, or do you have another place in mind?

This is the way to your house, correct?

[Mogget is quite sure they are heading in the right direction. He assumes that answers the question, and doesn't really say too much more while they head there. At the door, he winds idly around Roxas' ankles until they get inside.]

It is magic. But I won't be casting it on you. [He may, however, want to step back.]

It is.

[He hasn’t been venturing very far outside of the few places he visits, but if Mogget wanted to go somewhere else, Roxas trusts the cat enough to follow him.]

[Once they get inside, Roxas closes the door behind him before giving Mogget a curious look.]

Okay... I gotta admit, I’m pretty curious now.

[Today was an earlier work day, so Momo is back home in the afternoon, doing some exercises inside the house. While he'd normally be more inclined to do them out in the city, since everything that happened last month he's tried to stay home a little more often, to stick close to Yuki since he still feels like he's affected by what happened. To Momo, it's a relatively small adaptation to make to make his partner more comfortable, even if he might miss the outdoors a bit.

The knock on the door makes him pause momentarily, since he doesn't remember inviting anyone over. But he straightens himself up from his cardio activities and goes to answer the door in all his wide-panted, sleeveless-shirted glory. While a flicker of confusion washes over his face in the initial moment, as soon as he gets a good look over this person - the silver bell, the white hair, the catlike eyes - it clicks pretty quickly, and he offers a welcoming grin.]

Yeah, sure. I didn't realise you were working on making yourself human-shaped, Mogget.

[Momo is, thankfully, observant enough and capable enough of putting two and two together to not be stumped by the bit of transmutation, and he gestures for Mogget to come in if he wants.]

[It is irritating. A little. But Mogget has more tolerance than most for certain things and someone clearly attempting to broaden their horizons is one of them.

So, he props his head up one one hand and watches her for a minute with those slightly uncanny-looking eyes, a finger of his other hand tapping lightly against the open pages of his book.]

The books here don't allow much for rudimentary reading levels. [Mogget comments.] That must be important.

[Upon being recognised, Mogget's expression breaks into an immediate smile.]

I have. And I'm thankful that at least someone I know has more observational skills than a rock.

[Look, this has been a long couple of days of just not being recognised by people even after dropping heavy hints as to who he is. Admittedly he made it more difficult for Howl than he did for Momo, but it's still gratifying to know that somebody pays enough attention to him.

He gives a small nod and steps inside, letting the ribbon drop back against his chest.]

I didn't think I'd made it too difficult to recognise me, all things considered.

[Mogget makes a soft noise that sounds like a chuckle, and then moves away to give himself a little space.

He utters a few words, strangely unwarped by the feline sounds that usually knot through his speech, and the air around him shimmers. His shape glows, shifting into something that expands upwards and outwards, giving a couple of dull flashes before the cat is gone and a small young man stands in its place.

His skin is pale, his hair completely white and his clothes holding little colour. Around his neck the bell and pendant that normally adorn his collar hang on a loose red ribbon. His eyes are still green, with the iris stretching just far enough across the sclera to be unsettling and with sharp, cat-like pupils.]

There. What do you think?

[ Getting increasingly frustrated with her slow progress, Tsutha latches onto this welcome interruption and lets out a deep exhale, slumping in her seat and looking up at the person talking to her. His eyes don't strike her as worth comment-- after all, she's bright green with giant tusks. Who is she to cast aspersions based on appearances? ]

I don't know what the word "rudimentary" means, but they definitely could do with some easier books.

[Roxas watches curiously, but when Mogget begins casting his magic, Roxas can't help but gape. He watches wide-eyed as Mogget's shape glows, shifts, and changes to that of a more human appearance.]

[He's seen transformation magic before, but it's still an awe-inspiring sight. He blinks a few times, taking in the sight of his cat-friend who isn't so cat-like anymore.]

You... you can turn into a human? When did you learn that??

[The inside of the cottage is largely one room - the kitchen and dining area takes up the smaller space to the right of the door, whereas the much larger area to the left is the loungeroom, with soft couches and a coffee table to sit around. There's a small hallway off to one side that leads to the bathroom and bedrooms, and another one that leads out to the back door. It's all quite neat, as well, since while Momo living by himself is a recipe for chaos, he pulls himself into line whenever he's living with Yuki, since Yuki is much neater.

Momo goes over to the couches, so they can at least sit and chat.]

You'd think people would notice that kind of stuff can happen in a world like this. I mean, my world was totally normal and by now even I know people can change shape if they want. [He's kind of surprised others didn't recognise him, since it seemed so obvious to him.] For what it's worth, I thought you made yourself pretty easy to recognise. The eyes and the white hair are already pretty obvious, but the ribbon and bell kinda cinched it.

I'm a witch, Roxas. I learned.

[Humanoid witches more often learn to turn themselves into something more animal - it only made sense that the reverse could also be done, and while the initial magic had only taken him a few months to pin down he had spent much longer perfecting it.

He lifts up one hand as if to examine it, lightly opening and closing his fingers.]

There is a lot that can be accomplished with hands that can't be done with paws. Or from a height of eleven inches.

[That does make sense... Roxas shakes his head a little, a smile still on his face.]

I guess you're right. Still, that's really cool! That must have taken a lot of magic.

[He looks over Mogget's human form, ears upright in curiosity.]

This is going to sound weird, but... you still kind of look like you. Not like a cat, but... I can tell it's you, now that I know.

[ The city has become his haunting spot yet again, Reno is on the roll, or so he would tell anyone that asks. That means he probably should contact Mogget as they talked before on the network. But then a different opportunity came across.

It's not his job being here — he knows nothing about growing plants and shit. They're rare in Midgard in the first place — but a sight of the white cat is too much to pass. Instinctual reluctance aside he closes the distance, at the height of his sneakiness even, to plop down and do the unthinkable.

Pet without asking for permission ]

It means 'basic'. [Mogget tells her, tilting his head slightly against his hand as he leans on it. She has no idea who he is, he thinks, but then their last conversation hadn't been anything that might stick out in memories.

He puffs out a little sigh and gets up, walking over to the table and looking down at what she's trying to read.]

Could a friend not help you with this?

Then this doesn't upset you.

[Howl had been upset, though Mogget still hasn't really figured out why that is. The man had made it quite obvious, however. Humans could really be so peculiar, and even after all his time in existence they could still confuse him sometimes.

He doesn't say he's happy to get the opposite reaction from Roxas, but maybe it's implied in the way he smiles - just slightly - and reaches up to very gently ruffle the boy's hair.]

It wouldn't do for me to not look like myself.
