Who: Rikku and Leanne
When: Backdated to just after the event (~Feb 16th)
Where: Coven infirmary
What: When she's not making sure her housemate/surrogate older sister is okay or harassing strangers in the woods to see if they're okay, Rikku is making sure her bonded is okay. Spoilers: no one is actually okay.
Warnings: kidnapping, Cwyld infection, memory-scrambling, all of the other event stuff
[It had been a relief to find Leanne among the captured at the Evergreen Circle, although like so many others she was in very rough shape. Whatever the Circle had done to her left her infected and delirious, and it had been a bit of a struggle to get the naga to the Coven where she could receive the medical care she so desperately needed.
The infirmary is overwhelmed, many in far worse condition than Leanne, and Rikku uses the situation to leverage her status as a 'promising young witch' to be allowed to stay. She isn't able to heal the Cwyld infection on her own, but she can be trusted to administer medicines to help ease symptoms and move the healing process along.
Once Leanne is able to sleep, the magic and alchemy running through her system and doing its work, Rikku sends a brief message to Ferran to let him know where she is, that she's all right, and that it will probably be a few days before she'll be by to see him again. The last thing she wants to do is inadvertantly spread the infection to Ferran and end up having him in the infirmary as well. She also takes the opportunity to peek in on Karin and her friend from home to say hi and offer some love, but she's quickly shooed by the Coven medical staff.
All of that accomplished, Rikku simply sits and waits for Leanne to improve enough to wake up. She tries her hardest to stay awake, but the sudden lapse of several hours suggests that she isn't quite successful. Somehow, it's morning.]

Once she finally fell asleep, she was out of it for what felt like hours and days as her body recovers from the trauma it experienced and went through. It was hard to feel time anymore. She has bitten people, that much she does know. Bitten to inject her venom into them.
Morning came and with the first rays of sunshine in the infirmary, hitting the resting naga. Leanne finally feels herself returning to the waking world. A small groan leaves her, her whole body feeling cold... So so cold and there was no warmth around, even under the blankets. A small groan of pain leaves her as she forces herself to sit up.]

[If Rikku weren't so hyper-focused on Leanne's well-being, she would see the irony in the role-reversal from when she herself was in the infirmary a few months prior.]
You're in the Coven. They said your infection was pretty bad, so they're going to keep you here a few days until they're sure it's out of your system.

[And she is almost instantly regretting trying to get up as she instantly feels the urge to purge, as well as instantly feeling like she will pass out again.]
The Coven? No no no no no, I should be back at my master's house lest I should get punished.

[Dammit, is Leanne brainwashed too? Rikku had been aware of the possibility--that's why she straight-up kidnapped someone, after all--but hadn't been prepared for it to happen to her bonded. Leanne deserves better than this, and frankly Rikku should have been more vigilant in making sure she was safe and not taken away in the first place.
But there will be time for guilt later. Now, she needs to tend to her friend.]
No, it's okay. Um... your master knows you're here. Yeah. And he sent me to keep an eye on you and stuff. You can't serve him if you're not well, right?
[It kills her a bit to play into the lie, but she's aware of how powerful the Circle's brainwashing is. They can ease into 'trying to break through' once Rikku's sure the naga's calmed down.]
