"Er, basically, yes." Yako bobs her head in a nod. Though there's no actual way to prove that right now, it's an accurate description of what Akane is, though she's stopped thinking of her in those terms for a while now.

She's... Wow she's pretty sure she does not like that? Peridot regards Akane with a healthy amount of uncertainty, her mouth scrunched into a tiny frown.

"Hm. Well... If it-- they-- run off some kind of battery, I can probably take a look at it at some point," she says in an effort to not think about dead organics whatever follicles they may or may not be haunting. "Assuming we really are going to be stuck here for a while, that is."

"Really?" Yako looks up in surprise, but there's a distinct hopefulness in her voice.

"Er, not that I'm hoping to be stuck here for a while, of course." She brushes some hair behind an ear, sheepish. "... but I'd appreciate if it you could. I don't really know much about how this works."

Batteries, magical or otherwise: totally out of her purview, sorry.

"To be fair, I don't know much about how magic works, but I can certainly learn, if I have adequate time," Peridot says, nodding. "If it turns out we ARE stuck here, contact me by communicator device. We can go from there."

Even if Peridot provides that disclaimer, it gets Yako to smile, anyway.

"Thank you. I would appreciate that a lot." For now, though, she's brushing down her robes and glancing at Peridot.

"Are you staying at the Coven, or are you going to see the city?"

"City," the gem replies at once. "I don't require sleep, and I would probably just go completely stir crazy sitting around here. I figure I may as well seize the moment and wander out and investigate this new world for myself."
