[ THAT SURE WAS A THING, though Majima was sure to bow politely in thanks before the man left. ]
Ya feelin' better? Think we should get someone with healin' magic to take a look at it?
[ Look. Look. He didn't know what kind of nonsense pitcher plant juice could do to a person. Majima assumed it was just garden-variety horrible digestive fluid, but who even knew. ]

I think it'll be fine ... if it still hurts tomorrow, I'll get one of the Coven to take a look at it, since I'm attending a lesson tomorrow.
[ She gave him a small smile. ]
But, you were pretty cool coming to my rescue back there, Majima-san! Good thing you can carry a tune!

[ Maybe Majima would re-devote his life to being surrounded by flowers!! Or, you know. Not. Because apparently some of these plants could pick you.
But now for the most important question of all: ]
...So are we allowed to look at what's in the book?

“Cursing and You: A Nincompoop's Guide To Curses, Hexes, and Cures.”

[ Obviously, Majima had been in the wrong time and place to hear of Dummies' Guides, but he looked somehow interested nonetheless. ]
Can't believe someone actually bought it.
...so c'mon, flip it open to the first couple pages. Let's see what's in there.

[ Wiping her formerly sap-covered hand on her robe one more time for good measure, just to make sure she wasn't going to get the pages stuck together, Yako shuffled closer to Majima to let him have a better look at the pages while she skimmed through. ]
Let's see ... well, it seems like it starts out by explaining that most curses and hexes are basically just, um, a mean kind of enchantment. This book explains how you can cure a curse ... or, um, how to try to get back on the good side of whoever cursed you in the first place.
[ She blinked, looking up. ] That sounds useful, don't you think? I wonder if it works on all kinds of enchantments...

The real stuff's probably on lockdown somewhere.
[ What an attitude. It did sort of make sense, though? Majima cocked his head at one passage. ]
'Try apologizing profusely'? Man, if apologies could solve everythin'. Gotta wonder, though, what kinda curses this guy was tryin' to shake off.

[ But inevitably, it’s actually worse than that! Though they wouldn’t find that out until much later, after Yako got the book back to Billy and did a bit of snooping around of her own to see what might have caused it. For now, after thanking Majima again for his help and promising to see him around the Coven, they’d part ways. ]
