Any fire is potentially dangerous. Flame freezing charms? No, we didn't have anything like that.

I suppose they usually are. I can't say I would feel particularly threatened by a bonfire flame at this point though. Handling dragons kind of change your perception, perhaps.

Yes. Well, we hide magic from non magic society in any capacity. Statute of secrecy to avoid widespread panic and persecution. [He's only talking about it because they're in a world full of magic. It seems kind of silly to hide these things.] People panic when they're presented something unknown or different to them and this held true for magic.

I don't know. Maybe. I guess other cultures might not think of sea horses as dragons. But -- a statue of secrecy? Oh, to hide the magic. I guess I can understand that.

Well, I'm afraid that I'm not completely familiar with some more common knowledge. The magic community can be quite removed from non magic ones. There's a lot of things that I'm not very familiar with.

I wouldn't say I fear it. I can't say I'm bothered by my lot in life. Just that it is what it is. You can't always decide how things go, but you certainly can still enjoy life for what it is.

[And Newt very much enjoyed things for the most part. It helps that his passions took him away from society versus being ingrained in it though.]
