House Warming...or Still Unpacking

[It has been a month since she and the boys have moved in and there's still a few boxes to unpack. Nothing big but that's what happens when one is busy with both a job at the potions shop, Coven classes, and things involving her first book publishing. It was enough to keep her busy in a good way. Not only that, moving from a large house to a smaller, more intimate one with the chance for more greenery seemed to appeal to the woman. Yes even in winter because plants have that power.

Anyone wanting to visit her, may catch her outside as she is putting away items meant for gardening and yard clean up. That and a rather beaten up wooden...thing with an orange glowing ball and pointy ears. Look, dark knights have a thing about hating certain fluffballs and wanting to tear off their poms.]

...I do hope this won't scare anyone off. But this might be a blessing until I figure out how to work my gun.

[Or perhaps that you've come to see her inside as she is sitting in the living room with the fire going and a box open as she is looking over several books in her possession. Breezy the gaelkitten might be nearly by curled up and sleeping.]

I never should ask how I acquired all these tomes. Honestly, I should have sorted them before packing.

[Sighing as she hears a noise.]

Gift Making

[The kitchen is a bit of a mess. Understatement as there is a pile of baskets on one of the stools as ingredients are scattered on the counters while it appears that some chocolate is cooling. Peppermint is crumbled and dusted on her face as she has been working on some recipes in the chocolate book she got back around before Valentione's. Just none of the naughty ones.]

Did I make too much peppermint bark? I'm not sure.

[She is working on something and the poor soul who enters the kitchen will see the mess and the deer-in-the-highlights look she is giving them.]

I swear I'm usually not like this! There is just a lot of things I just decided to make!

[The usual decent looking Warrior of Light and Darkness now looking like Starlight threw up on her candy wise is the scene you are greeted with. Dare you ask?]

Break Time, Nap Time

[In the living room curled up on the chair near the fireplace is Mira. Currently asleep with Breezy in her arms. It's been a bit since she's had a good nap and she's a bit deep into it. Might be a little awkward to see her sleeping but if she hasn't noticed you, Breezy certainly has. If she knows you, there will be a chirp and a mew in greeting. If she doesn't, there will be a yowl and a growl along with bent ears.

She's a bit protective of her owner. Got any treats to keep her quiet?]

[It’s been a couple of weeks since Sora moved into the brand new Chambers Cottage with Vanitas and Mira. With some of his more important people have left this world he felt it was better to be with his bondmate than not. So, it was an easy transition when Mira had asked the boys to move to the new cottage. And they’ve all started to settle in. Sora busy helping Mira with unpacking or making a cluttered mess of his shared room with Vanitas. It’ll all be sorted out with time! Sora would be more than happy to invite friends inside or over to help with the entire process as well. Or just to visit!]

[A] The cottage is warm, homely and already. Sora is doing his best with trying to organize the collection of books that Mira and Vanitas have accumulated over time in the study. Looking at several tomes and titles as he puzzles how to sort them on the shelf. Maybe he can just shove them all onto the shelf and no one will notice Sora’s semi-poor attention to it all.

[B] Or he can be found out outside in the yard where he’s rolling up freshly fallen snow to make a lopsided looking snowman with his creative but hardly perfect snowman making skills. It looks like he’s trying to make a puca-shaped snowman. Using some carrots as the ears instead of the nose. It’s ugly, you can say so.

[C] And lastly Sora can be found in the kitchen near a window where he is currently putting together a small herb garden in a few pots and wooden buckets. As a rabbit, Sora is keen on having growing things in the house where he can steal a nibble or help with cooking. He’s packing together the seeds and dirt and watering them with a small watering can. Hopefully, they’ll grow quickly! The window is also open just a crack to let in some afternoon air before it gets too chilly.

[Roxas has been around here and there to help Sora and Vanitas with their move, but now is here for a different reason; namely, to help Sora with his snowman building. He's enjoying himself in an activity he's never done before, though when he looks at Sora's... erm, creative liberties, he can't help but snort.]

Aren't the carrots supposed to be for their noses?

[Roxas has been helping out Sora and Vanitas with their moving into the new cottage, and while he's heard of her from Vanitas, he hasn't had the pleasure of meeting Mira. He didn't even really know what she looked like, really.]

[So when he comes in the door, expecting to see either Sora or Vanitas, the turnskin perks up when he sees the woman in the living room, his ears perking up in surprise.]

Oh... hi. Sorry, I didn't mean to barge in...

[Since this boy is someone she's never seen before, Mira can only assume that he would be here for either Sora or Vanitas. Or both. Standing up, Mira dusts herself off and smiles.]

Oh, you're fine. Better that than kicking the door down.

[Is she joking? Nope. Otherwise her pearl would be glowing.]

If you're here for Sora or Vani, I haven't seen them for a bit. They might be out.

[Was she joking? It's a little hard to tell. But Roxas's attention is drawn instead to her last words.]

Oh, they're not? Ah... I was supposed to help them with moving some things.

[He rubs the back of his neck.]

I'm Roxas, by the way. I'm a friend of theirs.

[Sora is so busy sculpting his "masterpeice" that he barely knows it's actually a terrible piece. He just grins and twitches his ears happily as the snow falls.]

Huh, no way! Carrots can make great ears! They stick up tall! We can use a... uh...

[What can they use for a nose?]

Ah, 'tis good to meet a friend of theirs.

[That's how it usually is. New people she seems to meet is always connected to one or both of those boys in some way.]

I'm Mira, part of their family. [Why introduce herself like that?] There's other titles I have but they'd be confusing for a first visit. In the meantime, would you like anything to drink or eat?

[ It’s finally the day before the actual holiday and Vanitas really just can’t wait any longer. He’s sort of been a little skittish the last day or so. Likely because of gifts and trying to wrap them before anyone can actually see them. It’s hard with Mira and Sora in the house! So he’s had to be extra careful and sneaky.

Well there are other reasons that Vanitas has been staying in bed and sleeping but Sora us already aware of those reasons. Neither here nor there, really. Right now his focus is to hint the Puca down. No surprise that the witch finds Sora fussing about the herbs that he has started to plant. Perfect. ]

Hey Cottontail.

[ Van has his hands suspiciously behind his back. ]

[It seems that Sora is as chipper as ever even with Vanitas sleeping in for some very specific reasons. They are still settling into their new cottage together so he's more than happy to get a few things done when he can. Even if Sora's sense of "getting things done" is a bit chaotic. Like the mess he's making with this indoor herb planting! But he looks so keen.]

Van-! Just in time, what do you think?

[He holds up a pot of freshly planted basil and dill sprouts and he holds it up triumphantly.]

[ It's always so chaotic, the way that Sora goes about doing things. Vanitas has learned not to really look into it or question it too deeply. There's no denying that the Puca does get things done, so it's fine. ]

You know I could always help out with the growing process.

[ You know. With magic. But he does lean over and it does look like some progress has been made. Hands still aren't moving from his back though. ]

[Sora blinks and brings the pot back down near his chest to look down at his baby sprouts.]

Yeah, I know but I sort of feel like that's cheating.

[He's looking forward to trying to grow something and not kill it!

But Sora looks up, a bit curious. Does Vanitas have something?]

What's up, Vanitas?

Is it really cheating to give them a bit of a push?

[ A shrug. Then Vanitas chuckles and leans in, brushing their noses together. Hands still not moving! ]

As for what is up... Does anything have to be in order for me to seek out my Bondmate?

[Sora snickers softly but he then looks up at Vanitas with a bit of a squint. Vanitas is being cute with those nose nuzzles...]

You're up to something. [He smiles.] What are you up to?

You caught me. I may, in fact, be up to something.

[ Vanitas gives Sora a peck on the cheek. Then he hands over a single gift box. ]

As it turns out, I'm a little impatient.

[The kiss to his cheek doesn't surprise him but the gift box revealed to him sure does! Sora's eyes go wide and his ears perk straight upwards.]

Huh? Vanitas, we can't exchange gifts until tomorrow!

[There are no real rules around that and it's not actually called Christmas here but Sora says so anyway! He's still smiling though. Honestly, Sora loves gifts sooooo...!]

If we're giving gifts you better wait a second and lemme grab mine for you!

Who says we have to do that? Maybe I have other things in mind to keep us occupied tomorrow.

[ Now what those things are... Well there could be quite the wide range of activities! Or maybe Vanitas is thinking about doing something special. Gift giving might cut into some of that. ]

This isn't the only thing for you that I have. I just thought it appropriate to gift it to you now.

[Roxas chuckles when he sees the Sora thinking.]

Don't tell me you have no idea what to use for a nose.

[Silly Sora. But Roxas hums in thought.]

Maybe, a rock? Or something else lying around?

Oh!

[Roxas actually perks up a little at that, his ears straightening up a bit. And then, a smile forms on his face.]

I've heard about you. Vanitas mentioned you before. [And he also mentioned her being part of his family. Really, it's good to see Vanitas with people who are helping him out.]

[At the offer, his tail wags a little.]

Sure, if it's not too much trouble.

[Sora looks down at the gift wrapped with so much care and he looks up to smile warmly at Vanitas. He's not sure what they have planned for tomorrow but he feels like Vanitas has secrets about that he'll surprise Sora with. It's their first winter together in this world. He's kind of excited.]

Okay- but you still have to open yours too then. Hang on just a second!

[While still keeping his gift with him Sora sets the planters aside and heads to the other room to grab his package he's been saving for Vanitas too. He comes back with a box wrapped in festive red and silver.]

Okay!! [He's rushing back and tucking this gift into Vanitas' hands.]

[ He tilts his head to the side for a moment. Before he can say anything more, Sora darts off and come right back with a package. Vanitas really does mean that he has more than just this. But... ]

Demanding as ever, I see. Go ahead and open your first one up then.

[ When Sora opens this gift, the Puca should see why it came to mind. Inside is a bunch of different seed packages. Enough that Sora can put together his own veggie garden in the backyard. ]

I just thought. You know... I could give you a bit of a head start.

[Exchanging gifts is an important thing to do for the holidays! He can't receive a gift without knowing he's giving one too.]

Wait-

[Sora blinks and looks down to open this one up and grins brightly when he sees the collection of seed packages.]

This is great! I can't wait until we can plant every single one!!

[A very happy rabbit to be getting his own veggies. There's just something he's learned to love about growing their own food. He kisses Vanitas' cheek in thanks.]

Thanks, Vanitas!! Did you really get me more than just one?

That's what I was thinking. Something of yours in this house. There's so much of Mira and myself... But this is something that is yours and yours alone.

[ There's a little chuckle as he receives the kiss. ]

But yes. I did. Is it so wrong to want to spoil you?

[Honestly, Sora doesn't really think to buy himself stuff all that often. So it does actually feel good to think that he'll have his own things around the house. Growing plants and little planters and gardens that are all for him? It's really thoughtful.

Sora's cheeks bloom with some pink.]

I'm happy we moved here. I really feel like we're making this place ours now.

[He grins.]

And I'm just glad I got you a few things too!

[He just wrapped it all in one box!!]

[ Vanitas is much the same way. He doesn't really buy himself things - unless it is to match Sora - so most of what he has? They are things that have been given to him. Because of that, he holds them dear. Treasures them. ]

Same. Maybe because it's just the three of us. Smaller so there's not as much space to worry about.

[ He smiles a little as he looks down at his box. ]

Go ahead and get the other boxes from under the tree, Sora. They all have blue and stars on them. Then I'll open this?
