The sounds, irregular as they were, had still been far enough away that it was unlikely they were in any danger just yet.

Instinctively he moved closer still, enough that the back of his hand brushed against Symon's as they walked, and his attention entirely on the other man's face as he sung, each note tugging at his heart.
