I think I understand the feeling. I've never really let that sort of thing get in the way of what I wanted to say, although I also don't come from a world with a history quite like that.

It's... a bit like this one. It's got a lot of strange creatures and magic and all that sort of thing. I don't know much about the humans of that world, though, beyond the obvious. Their history wasn't really that interesting to me...
