[Leslie has certainly needed to keep up with much taller people and the brisk pace Edelgard sets fits with Leslie’s current mood as her anxiety pushes nervous energy into her legs.]

I’ll put on the kettle after the bath is ready so that you can have it after your bath. Or while you’re bathing, if you want to be there for a while.

[It’s rare for Leslie to have trouble returning a smile from Edelgard, and she is able to return it, but there’s worry in her eyes as she does so.]

It was. It was even a little...boring. I’ve gotten so used to everyone being around in the evening that it was strange to be on my own. Um, besides the pets. So I went to sleep early.
