[tw: injured child] sorry, genshin impact absorbed me completely for nearly a month

[Leslie is a little delayed in following Mikasa as she's distracted by the relief that it was a false alarm, but she does begin to run up behind her shortly after.

At this point, even Leslie can smell the blood. It's something that has mostly featured in her life recently in a vampire housemate's consumption of animal blood, but she knows it in a human context, too. It only makes her chase after Mikasa more quickly.

The boy in the hollow has pressed himself back into the hole as best he can with his injuries, but those injuries are limiting how much he can retreat. His right arm is wrapped in his coat, obscuring the gash that came from an extremely close brush with death from a Nuckelavee's sword. His pants are in tatters, making it quite obvious that he ran through some mess of brambles from the lines and small cuts on there. These small injuries on his legs aren't the main reason he hasn't been able to leave, though: that goes to the sharp rock that went right through his low quality shoes and into his foot. His nose is also bleeding, his face a little bruised from some form of blunt trauma. It's hard to tell if it's from being attacked or from a fall during his escape from the Nuckelavee.

He is looking at the arriving pair suspiciously. "What do you want? Don't touch me!"

Leslie momentarily froze at the sight of the injuries, but the words shake her out of it as she hovers around behind Mikasa.]

You're injured. You need --

[The boy interrupts her. "Go away before you bring another horse here!" It's hard to know if he believes the rumours of the Mirrorbound connection to the Nuckelavee or if he just thinks that a couple of people standing in the open are going to attract the attention of one to his hiding place.]
