[Ramesses is a little unsteady on his feet at first, stumbling a little as he pushes himself up. Although he knows such shallow breaths aren't going to help him with getting the air back, stabs of pain discourage him from drawing anything deeper. Ramesses brings a hand to his chest. Never one to learn the healing arts like some of the other Witches, the most he can do is dull the area just enough to catch his breath.]

[He winces slightly at the blood-curdling shriek from the Nuckelavee as he does this. If there's one sound he never wants to hear again, that would be near the top of the list, but whatever irritation it might bring about is quickly minimized by the response. If they're not quick to dispatch this one, it's not going to make leaving here easier if reinforcements get too close.]

[Prideful as Ramesses is though, he's not an idiot. As far as anything close and personal is concerned, he's definitely out of that fight for now. His blade returns to his waist as he reaches for his bow. Even with his magic at work, the movement feels like a mistake, but he pushes through. The rider's head is not the easiest of targets, perhaps especially now that it lolls and whips about with the horse's movements, but it's really the only option. Even if the momentum of an arrow isn't enough to pull it clean off, it can at least put a small halt to its attempts to stomp, kick, and slash Fang. Just enough of an opening for her to finish the job.]

[As he draws the arrow back, a tremor passes through him. Breath comes a little easier, but nothing else seems to right now. He calls upon years and years of discipline that he hasn't had to rely on for thousands of years, lessening the tremor as much as he can until it seems almost negligible. Only then does he let loose the arrow.]
