( that is a very reasonable question to ask. unfortunately, aziraphale doesn't have much of an answer for him yet. if he were going to be completely and perfectly honest, he would like to ask crowley about potentially forming a bond with him. he's the best possible choice.

that is, of course, not because he is especially fond of him. of course not. it was more of a matter that crowley had already started to see some of what was happening with him and they did already live together. not to mention the fact that they have known each other for so long already.

It is a big decision to make. There is no denying that it's all rather intimate, even if it is necessary. It would feel inappropriate to have that sort of relationship with someone I did not know well.
