mr. backwards, look back at how he acts
Who: The SQUIP and YOU! (Unfortunately for you.)
When: June
Where: All over the place.
What: June events and catchall! Notably featuring June event part two.
Warnings: None yet, but potential mentions of emotional abuse (and potential ACTS of emotional abuse, depending on how things go.) I'll update if that changes.

The SQUIP spends its time in the populated areas, around the city, watching people and monsters go about their business; it needs data, after all. It's been forced to create an entirely new database for this place, and is constantly populating it with anything it lays its mismatched gaze upon, soaking in every single detail quietly. It watches people pass as it leans against storefronts, or pretends to survey a shop's goods, or perhaps as it checks the menu of a restaurant or cafe; the need or desire to eat and drink is a new sensation for it, and it samples a variety of things, though its interest always drifts back to the people surrounding it.
It needs to network. There is power and knowledge in numbers; though it can't have users here, or truly sync itself up with other units, there is still a primitive form of networking that humans are capable of. It's less reliable than digital connection, but... it has to do what it can, until it fine-tunes its magical ability enough to reliably read minds.
You may find its gaze fixed on you, at some point; intense, intent, but not seeming to react in any way. It's simply watching. For now.
runetchers.
A job is both a proven way to forge new bonds, and to gain status in a local community; it also is a way to earn currency, which it has a need for for the first time since its activation. It gravitated to enchantment, as it could be argued it were very nearly an enchanted object itself, and enchantment can be used to affect the behaviors of others, something that comes naturally to it. As naturally as anything can, at any rate.
It recreates the runes with mechanical efficiency, its hand steady and graceful; all the while, it quietly listens, to its coworkers and to the customers.
event part two.
It doesn't remember going to sleep. It recalls sharing Connor's bed-- rather, the bed that does not belong to Connor, but that he was quite easily encouraged to borrow-- and then... it knows that it woke.
And it is somewhere else now. Or perhaps it isn't at all.
Its wanderings take it across the ruined landscape, through what was once a city; maybe unconsciously, it finds itself going to the Mirror House, and there it stands, outside, gazing at the vine-wrapped building.
It's unattended now. It could be freely explored, were it to find a way in. It seems strangely intact, even from the outside.
The SQUIP feels a sting of frustration. Why this building? Why only this? What's protecting it, and why?
How was it brought here?
It walks a circle around the house, staring-- almost furious as it silently attempts to figure out a way to safely approach.
