Rude wasn't too dissimilar when it came to posture and demeanor. Especially while his partner was no where in sight. He could relax with the kittens but it didn't mean people got the same consideration.

Despite that, or perhaps because of it really, Rude tensed as Archer reached towards him and his hand was already moving upwards whenever the dragon grabbed a feather from his ear. He flinced even though it wasn't plucked necessarily but the closeness was uncomfortable. He only stopped--barely--from grabbing Archer's wrist because he saw what the other was attempting.

A distraction for the kitten. A feather to play with. Not bad.

He probably should have thought of that but honestly the feathers were too new--and he felt awkward enough with them, much less drawing attention to them. Now he had to hope the kittens didn't notice where there were more. It was only a minor miracle they hadn't tried chewing on him yet so far.

He dropped his hand. Watched the kitten play with the feather. Kept his mouth a firm line of disapproval for the other man to see.
