Balthier takes a moment from actually paying mind to his footing to give her a look. It's a perfectly reasonable answer on her part, but that doesn't mean he isn't going to find it somewhat aggravating.
"I'd not doubt magic," he returns, seeming briefly exasperated, before addressing the real meat of her reply. "The rules work so damn differently here. I can't imagine it so simple."
