( CIRQUE MYSTIQUE: 3rd-4th )

[ Vanitas had heard about this thing called a circus before. Of course he's never been to one before, like many things really. There are reasons for him not to go and he considers staying inside. However his curiosity soon gets the better of him and he soon finds himself in the midst of the things.

Once more Vanitas finds himself overwhelmed, as he normally is crowds, by the smell of food and the sounds of people selling wares. Vanitas is more interested in the food than the games, since after watching people play them for a while he figures they're rigged ( or maybe he mocks whoever tries to play them ). So he's walking around and watching the performances with mochi or dumplings in his mouth.

And at night? Vanitas watches the displays. Even he seems a little taken in by it all. Surprisingly. ]


( WONDROUS THINGS )

[ The pay is what draws him to this particular quest. Whisper Cloud reeds need harvested and for some reason the locals don't really seem to be interested. When Vanitas hears why, it is understandable. They tell secrets.

If he goes into an area alone it won't be a problem right? Not to mention Vanitas doesn't consider himself a person that has a bunch of secrets. Most things he's willing to speak on. So it'll be fine.

But it's so not fine. The moment that his fingers touch the fuzz, there are things murmured that he'd not been able to voice himself. Some of his inner thoughts and Vanitas draws back. ]

What a stupid enchantment. Wonder if it will still work if I chop the thing down...

[ And he looks like he's actually considering it! ]


( GATHERING SAMPLES )

[ There's a list of things that someone desires to get cuttings of. Vanitas is someone that more or less can be found roaming around the Wilde. So while he is out finding creatures to put down, he figures that he can do this little errand as well. It isn't as thought he is going out of his way now is it?

There are two things that Vanitas hopes to acquire: the branch from the Orapple tree and the root from the Silphin herb. The Orapple tree is pretty easy to find. Getting the branch? Also not too difficult. Vanitas scales the tree -

And is promptly attacked by a bird whose nest happened to be hidden in there. Vanitas bats at the thing, but ultimately falls out of the tree into a bush. ...Maybe no one will be around to see that? ]


( RUNAWAYS )

[ Here's the thing about the runaway kids. They are angry and sad and feeling so many negative emotions. What's good at sensing these emotions? Well at one time that would have been Vanitas himself. However his Food can. Vanitas thinks to use this to his advantage.

The creature scurries about in the Wilde and Vanitas can be seen following behind it. Void Gear is strapped to his back and visible for the moment. ]

Can't you hurry up? You should have been able to track at least one down by now. [ Snorts ] Worthless thing.


( FLOODS AND KITTENS )

[ Vanitas isn't fostering any kittens. But there are plenty of people that are! Be mindful that the kitten doesn't get too far away from you.

Vanitas' Flood might be scooping them up and running off with them. Where? Well who knows. Maybe it thinks to try to make a meal of them! ]


( A HAIRY SITUATION )

[ Now one of the things that Vanitas hadn't really thought about before had been something along the lines of haircuts. He's been here for a few months shy of a year and not once has he gotten his hair trimmed. In the past he's worn the mask and has never had to worry about it. Now though? It's starting to get in his face - in his eyes. He can't stand it!

Vanitas is in the middle of sparring - training, really - and he keeps having to blow it out of his eyes. He gets fut up and throws his weapon down on the ground, growling. Tugging his hair and just having a rightful fit of it. ]

STOP GETTING IN MY FACE!

[ It probably looks pretty amusing to anyone passing by. ]


( WILD CARD )

[ Nothing above tickle your fancy? Feel like doing something else with Vanitas? This is where you can do whatever. Need an idea? Hit me up! Van can also be found in the Coven library and out in the Wilde either offering healing services ( for practice only!!! ) and smacking creatures around. ]

[ Yeah, Sora has said this to Vanitas before. that doesn't mean that the Witch necessarily believes it. The Puca is just too bright. How could others not want to invite that into their lives? How could Sora possibly not consider it, considering everything that Van is and isn't? For all he knows Sora will wake up one day and realize that there are definitely better choices out there than someone that is still broken. ]

I remember.

[ He watches as Sora's hands move. They settle over Van's heart and his breath catches for a moment. His eyes flicker from those hands back to Sora's face. Van feels the surge of emotion and, in a sense, it mirror's his own. There's just that subtle ache. A longing. ]

...Sora. [ A snort. ] That doesn't really make sense.

[oathkeeper]

[Sora snorts too, his chin ducking down as he lets out a short embarrassed laugh. Maybe it is a little silly and confusing for him to say something like that. But all sorts of weird things are just tumbling out of his mouth tonight. Maybe that was a part of Sora wanting to be in tune with Vanitas' heart to help it be whole instead of a certain someone else- Maybe it was just an emotion he was trying to express.]

It'll make sense someday, I guess. [He looks up at Vanitas, smile on his lips.] The point is, you don't have to worry if someone looks at me because I'm right here.

[And he doesn't plan on changing that.]

... I guess that means I shouldn't have gotten so upset too.

[Whoopsie.]

So, no stabbing people, okay?!

[darkcharge]

[ As far as Vanitas is concerned, while he might have other Bonds that are contributing to the growth of his heart, it is Sora that more or less holds it all in the palm of his hand. It's a strange feeling, to inwardly accept this as a fact. To know that the brat could actually crush him now... That this is a point of weakness for him that he's actively allowing. ]

Tch... I am going to make sure you stay right here.

[ And he doesn't plan on changing that. ]

Though I never said I was going to stab anyone.

[ There's so many different ways that Vanitas could lash out now anyway. It doesn't have to be with a blade! He doesn't say that though. Rather he focuses on how Sora's skin feels under his touch. ]

...I liked you getting upset.

[oathkeeper]

[Sora looks back up at Vanitas. Honestly, what could death threads possibly mean when it comes to Vanitas! That was his shot in the dark about that one. While he doesn't want Vanitas to lash out at anyone when it comes to the two of them he knows feelings of jealousy are real and shouldn't just be brushed off. Just like he had gotten jealous just before.

And while Sora holds Vanitas' heart it's just the same the other way around. Sometimes Sora feels like he slipped and fell face first and practically threw his heart at the other boy if Vanitas had wanted it or not. And that's where it is now.]

I guess it was kind of nice to get a little jealous. [He mutters with a tilt of his head.] And to know you get jealous too.

[darkcharge]

[ Now here they are in this relationship, both feeling a little too strongly about the other. In some respects, it might not be entirely healthy. In others, it is a good balance. In the end, Vanitas doesn't care about all of that. They belong to one another. They argue, but also somehow manage to at least come to terms or accept these things about one another that probably aren't going to change any time soon. ]

There shouldn't have been a question of whether or not I would get jealous.

[ Vanitas presses his forehead against Sora's. ]

Anyone would want to eat you right up.

[oathkeeper]

[As Vanitas-like as those words are Sora definitely can't help feeling flattered. His ears wiggle and he finally slides his hands up Vanitas' chest to bring them around his next to press closer. Forehead against forehead and Sora's cheeks are pink.]

As if people wouldn't look at you and think the same kind of stuff. You're really amazing to look at, Vanitas.

[He's just... real hot. He doesn't have a lick of that baby-face that Sora sports. It's really unfair.]

I think I'm pretty lucky.

[darkcharge]

[ Vanitass can't help but scoff at that a little. He reaches up to tug on one of those soft Puca ears. ]

Yeah. I am pretty amazing, it's true. You are pretty lucky.

[ Okay so he's really just sort of teasing now. he runs his lips over the ear, not taking eyes off of the other. ]

Yet at the end of the day, more will be drawn towards you. I guess even I couldn't resist in the end.

[oathkeeper]

[Flattered again. Sora's cheeks burn and he huffs as Vanitas teases his ear with his lips. He clutches the other boy and sighs.]

Right now all I want is for you to pay attention to me.

[He looks up to catch those yellow eyes.]

Let's go home!

[darkcharge]

[ To that, Vanitas hums in thought. He releases that ear and gives a nod in return. ]

Greedy little thing aren't you. [ There's a dramatic sigh as it is Van this time that takes Sora's hand and tugs him along. ] Good thing I cater to such whims.

[ There's a slight smirk playing on his lips. ]

Should I pay attention to you all night?

[oathkeeper]

[Sora can't help the tiny soft snicker he gets under his breath. He follows quickly with Vanitas. He gives the hand a squeeze.]

That's what I want and that's the deal, isn't it?

[darkcharge]

[ It's going to be a bit of a walk back. Hopefully Sora doesn't mind that Vanitas doesn't feel like immediately teleporting them there. ]

Then how should I go about it? You got some ideas?

[oathkeeper]

[Sora hums as he ponders. Walking back is just fine. The circus grounds are still full of activity.]

You can start by getting me some more cake?

[darkcharge]

Does it have to be cake? I'm sure I could find something just as sweet.

[ Be careful Sora. His mind is turning just a little! ]

[oathkeeper]

[Rabbit ears are twitching as he gives Vanitas a bit of a smile and a look.]

Yeah, like what?

[Say it !!]

[darkcharge]

[ Why say it when he can do it? ]

Hmmm.

[ He gives Sora a little peck on the lips. Something sweet and actually pretty chaste? Oops? ]

[oathkeeper]

[That'll do, boyfriend.]

Hmm!

[It's so soft and chaste Sora can't help smiling against those lips sweetly. His heart bounces in his chest.]

I'll take a few more of those...!

[darkcharge]

[ Van slides an arm around Sora's waist, tugging him along. They're leaving the circus grounds now... ]

How about a home delivery?

[oathkeeper]

I was hoping you'd say something like that.

[His rabbit ears wiggle expectantly.]
