yesdoubt: (though it shone and disappeared)

[Momo grins cheekily, though it subsides to something more normal when Soren points out the worship comparison. He's met a few people who mostly know the term idol in that way, but he also can't call it entirely wrong.]

It's a little bit like that, in some ways. We're not religious or anything, but the people we work alongside who take care of the business angle really aim to cultivate our relationship with our fans in a way that's devoted and reciprocal. We represent a dream, but one that's within reach for a lot of people, and that can help encourage them in their day-to-day life. By acting as an ideal and showing those people we love them, it gives them a feeling like they belong to something amazing.

[Momo speaks almost nostalgically towards the end, like he hasn't only been on one side of that relationship. But it's a touch restrained, like he's noticed and doesn't really want to give that particular impression, shifting the balance more towards simple appreciation for his line of work.]
