The problem being, of course, that he just can't figure out how to find anything. He's beginning to assume that everything is sorted solely according to the librarians' whims. So while he's glad he thought to bring the components for more than one translation spell, it's not doing him much good. As he unravels the latest scroll and finds that it's once again not what he's after for he heaves a soft sigh.
Well, no sense in wasting his discovery. Akechi's not the only person rummaging through the shelves, and he's not embarrassed by the idea of approaching a complete stranger. ]
Excuse me. Would you happen to be looking for information about local flora?
[ He offers the scroll out. ]
It's not what I'm interested in, but it seems a shame to put it back when it was so hard to find in the first place.
( 2. city - guest villa ) [ When Akechi hears that he's going to need a roommate he strongly considers the merits of turning around and going back to Aefenglom. It's impossible, however, and the prospect of learning new things and making new connections is too tempting to give up. Thus, his only choice is to just put up with it. Wonderful.
But he seems perfectly calm as he approaches a room with a propped open door, though somewhat apologetic as he knocks on the frame. ]
