That is true, but it would be wasted. I don't have that sort of a relationship with anyone here. Or anywhere, mind you.

But maybe something similar... a little less transparent so I could wear it outside - it is getting terribly warm out.

Oh...what about billowy pants? Or a skirt with a slit? Fabric that drapes and is light would be quite lovely!

[There’s a long beat of silence,]

[She shifts her weight from one leg to the other - hopefully not making Tataru's job any more difficult.]

Do you remember the human from Ladies Day? You thought he was - ah - [She ducks her chin, lowering her voice.] in my harem.

_{[No more difficult than what it usually is. She does pause though, pulling back to get a better look at the other woman. It takes a moment for things to click but when they do her eyes are widening, a smile splitting across her face.]}

...Wait, Keith? Really?!

[Oh no. Hearing it outloud is making her regret confiding in the first place, heat flooding up to her cheeks.]

Maybe! I haven't quite figured it out yet. [Said defensively,] The bonding makes it a little difficult to decide.

_{[No regret, just gossip now. Don't worry Allura! She'll keep your secret. Probably.]}

Ah, I suppose that would make it a bit difficult.

_{[She'd know, considering her own heart thrumming feelings toward Henry. It's Complicated.]}

But you knew him before coming here, yes? Surely you were fond of him back then?

[There’s some small relief, that Tataru is on the same page as far as bonding getting in the way of figuring out feelings, and it makes her relax by a few degrees. More susceptible to the Girl Talk.]

If I am to be honest… we fought frequently before this. [She presses her lips together in a tight line.] It is not that I didn’t care for him, but we often butted heads on issues.

[The bonding helped with that, she realizes. Being able to feel his feelings helped put a damper on their fights before they happened. Especially when he was saying something different from how he was feeling.]

You did, did you?

_{[There's a hum of consideration at that, as the Lalafell taps at her chin.]}

I don't know Keith very well, of course, but he did strike me as an individual who has trouble expressing himself with his words.

_{[Not stupid, mind you, just someone who seemed more focused on doing rather than talking.]}

So I suppose that doesn't surprise me.

I don't think he talked to a lot of people, where he came from.

[Said kindly. It didn't help that neither of them were any good at being told they're wrong.]

Are you bonded, Tataru? Do you enjoy... holding hands with them?

[Listen, she's still figuring this all out.]

I will admit I find myself linking fingers with Henry quite often. It feels quite nice.

[It just brings into question why Tataru brought Allura, another silver-haired beauty, on as a model.

At the answer, she beams a little. Both because she feels a little more justified in her handsy nature with Keith, but also... it's just nice to hear about.]

Henry? What is he like? Do you like him?

Well, he's a Witch like myself and from the desert like me, with fair hair and delicate features. I suppose in my world he would be considered a Black mage. He has an affinity for unsavory things which may deter some, but he has a charming personality.

_{[Or at least one she finds charming.]}

He always tries to smile and I find that admirable. I have to admit I'm quite fond of him.

[Allura can’t help smiling in tandem at the way Tataru describes her bonded. She doesn’t really know what a black mage is and she’s not sure what counts as unsavory but it’s clear that Tataru is fond of him.]

Do you… feel romantically about him?

[Said with a small, playful smile. Girl talk is fun!]

_{[Ah. To suddenly have the girl talk turned back on her. Those wide eyes of hers only seem to get larger as she looks back at Allura, pink in the face.]}

W-Well...

_{[Oh to say whether those feelings she feels are romantic or not! Surely they must be to a degree, yes? After all, her and Henry tease one another quite often, dancing over the line of whether or not they could be considered more than a Bonded pair.]}

He did get my ring size out of me.

[Clearly this is relevant to romance on Tataru’s planet, although now Allura is peering at her own hand curiously, imagining what kind of ring she’s talking about. Or maybe it’s symbolic of something else.]

Is he going to purchase jewelry for you?

[That sounds significant!]

He may. I'm not certain if he will or not but...usually one purchases a ring for a lady if they mean to be in a more permanent relationship with her.

_{[There are bells ringing in Tataru's ears, so to speak.]}

The first time we spoke he joked about marrying me.

[She does see! And she turns on Tataru, hands on hips.]

He should not joke about such a thing with a lady! [She huffs.] You should ask him for his intentions. If he likes you that way, he should be willing to admit to it.

[If he likes it than he should, as they say, put a ring on it.]

_{[That gets a small laugh out of the Lalafell as she nods in agreement with the much taller lady.]}

Henry does like to tease, but he's also incredibly honest. I'm sure he'll be direct when the time comes. I know he's fond of me.

_{[Just like she's fond of him.]}

We did renew our Bond recently, after all.

[Allura echoes, tilting her head,]

Was there something wrong with it before?

[At this point in time she hasn’t yet gone through the full ceremony with Keith yet and have been just living off of the temporary bond potions.]

Oh no, not at all. There was nothing wrong with it the first time! However it was a bond made out of desperation on his end, one which I agreed to. He said that if I was unhappy after three moons or so we could part ways. If not, we would renew our vows.

It's been longer than that, of course. Quite a few months now...but we made a whole day out of it! It was quite nice.

Keith and I are planning on making our bond permanent soon. I would like to do something similar, but I know he is not one for big events.

[Lord I can't remember if this thread is before or after she and Keith permabonded.]

Oh he can be convinced surely. You're charming, Allura! I'm sure you can get what you want out of him. If you want to do something special you absolutely should! It doesn't have to be something big and fancy.
