( it mentally staggers him: a full year? but it seems just like yesterday that he was speaking with the both of them; soren never left ike's side, after all. ranulf even thought that soren had started to warm up around him. weren't the three of them going to depart on an adventure, somewhere far away from tellius?

he's conflicted. but what ranulf does know is that soren wouldn't lie about something as grave as this. days and days, weeks, months away from a friendly and familiar face? there's no doubt that if ike was here, that they would be together, and that he would be meeting them both here in a reunion of sorts.

ranulf lets out a breath, shakes his head. soren would probably never say it outright, but the look on his face is proof enough. he's suffering, and hopefully ranulf can do something to relieve him in some way. that's what the both of them need right now, in some way. )

A whole year... well. I'm glad I've found you, then. I'm sorry that I don't know much about how I've arrived here. Apparently, this has been a pretty surprising event of sorts.
