[ when raven had pressed her fingers to the blade of her sword, she hadn't expected to be pulled into an entirely different world completely. she's very, very unhappy with this, too, seeing as though she was right in front of the vault -- so close to the relic of knowledge. so close to what she'd needed.
she emerges from the window of what appears to be a closed clothing shop, judging by what's in the display window (and wow are those clothes very unusual). she scowls and keeps her hand on the hilt of her sword, stepping forward. her heels clack on the pavement, which will at least announce her presence to anyone who happens to be nearby.
and if you're one of the unfortunate ones to cross her path, she'll meet you with a glare, pulling out her sword just the tiniest bit -- a way of saying that she has a lethal weapon and she's not afraid to use it if she needs to. ]
You there. [ her eyes narrow. ] Tell me where I am and how I got here. [ she steps closer and pulls just a little more of her blade out for you to see. ]Now.
the goblin market
[ the day after her arrival, raven ventures out to the market. she's not searching for anything in particular, merely seeing what her options are while she's here and what will help her accelerate her acclimation to magic while she's here. she needs to be capable of fending for herself while she's here. more than that, she needs to be capable of getting what she wants, should the opportunity to grab something particularly interesting arise.
you might be able to catch her taking a from her window shopping, sitting on a bench in a more secluded area of the harbor district, cleaning her sword. it's definitely taken a bit of a beating, what with all of the scratch marks on it. it's hard to tell if those marks are fresh or not, though.
later on, however, she returns back to the marketplace and she's waved over by one of the vendors selling potions. there are ones that are advertised as raising a witch's magical ability, which actually does intrigue her -- but the real seller here appears to be a potion that nullifies the need for a bond. that's what gets her talking. however, she is still new to aefenglom and is questioning the legitimacy of these potions. not to mention that she doesn't have any money to spend on them, either. damnit.
she walks away from the stall, and finds someone who looks like they may know what they're doing (you!). they've got their back towards her, though, so suddenly they'll be met with a very rude push of their shoulder to get them to turn around. ]
I have two questions for you, and I want answers. [ looks like she's not taking no for an answer. ] I want to know if these potions are legitimate. And if they do work... I want you to prove it.
[ WELL. GOOD LUCK. ]
