[Maria's been practicing fire magic, as well, but most of it is to be used for fighting, not for creating things to keep warm. And she's not sure the ice is thick enough here to warrant trying to create a fire, anyway. The lizard's frigid blood is thickening it, nicely, but there are still places she's pretty sure the ice will give way beneath their feet if they're unlucky... and not careful.
