spaghettimonster: (SKELETONS AND FLOWERS)

Papyrus' own ears flick back when he sees that whack, but as Stiles doesn't seem to be hurting from it, he just nods sympathetically and leans down to examine the rough cuts.

"Yeah, I know what you mean. The speed and convenience of shopping... Avoiding the disappointment of mistakes...! Feelings that haunt everyone learning a new skill, even me."

Just ask him about his early cooking lessons. And the sleepover that first time he and Undyne burnt her house down. Fond memories, though they feel so long ago now.

"But, don't compare your efforts to mine! I've been altering my clothes for years. I had to walk through the spikes of puzzles before I could leap over them."

In example, he grabs the hem of his current shirt and folds it a couple inches inside out, to better show what the inside of the shirt looks like. It isn't as uneven and visibly fraying as Stiles' work, but it's not nearly as even as something bought in most stores. A fair amount of thread has been looped on the fabric's end, over and over, to prevent it from fraying. What mistakes were made in the process have been carefully hidden, or exaggerated to a point that they seem intentional - like the whimsical arrangement of the letters on his shirt.
